Nama (生チョコレート, nama chokorēto)

Fresh chocolate, at its heart. Made with our cacao liqueur, crafted in partnership with Above Average Drinks.

16 squares in a Japanese wooden box.

THE STORY

Nama (生) means "fresh" in Japanese. Nama chocolate was first made in 1988 at Sils Maria, a pastry shop in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, where chef Masakazu Kobayashi chose to serve the soft heart of a truffle on its own. Named for its fresh cream, it is now loved far beyond Japan. Ours is made in Edmonton with our crafted single origin chocolate, fresh cream, butter and our cacao liqueur, then dusted with cocoa powder.

TO ENJOY

Serve cool, straight from the fridge. Let each square rest a moment, then melt slowly on the tongue.

STORAGE

Sold frozen. Keep frozen at −18 °C for up to 3 months. To thaw, place the sealed box in the fridge overnight (8 to 12 hours) and open only once thawed. Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 7 days. Do not refreeze. Best before date on the label.

INGREDIENTS

Heavy cream, butter, 70% chocolate, Lone Pine cacao liqueur, Tanzanian cocoa powder.

Contains dairy and alcohol.
